Shivdasi was born out of passion and a lifelong dream. Swati Tyagi, our founder, was a highly skilled IT professional working in a multinational corporation, where she played a pivotal role in developing an Autonomous Car project using Artificial Intelligence computing. However, due to complications during her pregnancy, she had to leave her job. After the birth of her child, and with the unwavering support of her loved ones and her aspiration to become an entrepreneur, Swati sought a way to combine her desire to support her family with her love for traditional Indian fashion. This led to the creation of Shivdasi, a brand devoted to the art of handloom and hand-painted fabrics, fueled by a strong entrepreneurial spirit.
